NAF To Hold 2016 Games In Katsina

In a bid to improve personnel’s physical fitness and foster espiri-de-corps amongst personnel, the Nigerian Air Force, (NAF) has organised it’s 8th NAF Games scheduled to hold later this month in Katsina state.

Chairman of the 2016 NAF Games, Air Commodore Charles Oghomwen while addressing journalist in Abuja on the line up of activities for the event said the event is to serve as an avenue to select athletes that would represent the Nigerian Air Force in future championships.

He further said the event is a symbol of harmony that bonds the competing teams adding that it will create awareness drive for both the teams and the general public.

Oghomwen also said 650 officers and men including pilots who are not actively engaged in the north east at the moment will be participating in the event.

He said Gold medal will be awarded as first prize to individuals and team of the event while trophies shall be awarded to the best sportsman/woman including the winning command for each event. A champion trophy will also be presented to the overall winning command, he noted.
