Niger State commissioner of Finance, Alhaji Balarabe Ibrahim has stated that the state governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello would not to spare any government official who subvert the processes of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) as being implemented in the state.
The commissioner, who spoke yesterday at a seminar for stakeholders in the operation of TSA in Minna, posited that there was no going back in the implementation of the TSA in the state.
He noted that the governor took the implementation of the process of TSA very seriously and will not tolerate any official of the government who deliberately frustrate the implementation of the policy in the state.
Balarabe told the stakeholders mostly Chief Accountants of Ministries, Departments and Agencies MDAs that the government decided to implement the TSA as a deliberate policy aimed at ensuring maximum utilization of government resources.
According to the commissioner, “The governor is committed to the success of the TSA, any attempt to subvert the process will be dealt with, we will start the full implementation in the shortest possible time “
In view of the importance of the policy to the realization of the government programmes and the need for all stakeholders to be on top of the processes, the commissioner urged the stakeholders to give their maximum support.
Also speaking the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Alhaji Abubakar Zakeri urged the officials to assimilate all that they will be taught on the policy in order not to run foul of the process.
