The renowned Islamic Organisation, Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) has commended Governor Malam Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State for banning the activities of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) popularly known as Shi’ite under the leadership of Sheikh Yaqub El-Zakzaky.

The national chairman of JIBWIS, Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau who made the commendation yesterday in Abuja while speaking with newsmen said the action taken by the governor is in the best interest of Islamic Religion.

He noted that the group’s action in making blasphemous and negative remarks against some of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Households and his companions is against the Islamic Religion and peace of the nation.

“We actually commends the decision taken by the Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir el-Rufai, this is a good step to clean Islam from the hypocrites people who called themself Muslims and are not practicing the correct teaching of the religion.” He said.

He also noted that, the Kaduna State government has done the right thing for stopping these evil activities of insulting the Prophet’s wives and his companions, because the Prophet enjoined all Muslims to respect and regards his household and his companions. “We also appeal to the entire governors of the nation to do the same in order to clean the religion with hypocorism.

Allah said in the Quran that ‘When the hypocrites come to you, [O Muhammad], they say, “We testify that you are the Messenger of Allah.” And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars. So whenever someone said he is a Muslim, he must abide by its rules,” he added.

“We also appeal to all Muslims like Tijjaniyya and Qadiriyya to join our hands together behind the governor to make sure this country remain peacefully. Our scholars will continue to preach by calling them (Shi’ite) to the right path,” he said.
