The All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Cross Rivers State have called on the Federal Government and the National Leadership of the party to pay deaf ears to the antics of the Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade on litigation at the Supreme Court.

The Governor, who is facing a perjury case filed by Mr. Joe Agi, SAN of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the Supreme Court had alleged political persecution against him by his party, PDP because of his cordial relationship with the APC.

But the Governor’s allegations have been refuted by the Acting Chairman of the Cross River State of APC, John Ochala. Ochala in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, as he stated that the Governor had rather persecuted APC members in the State.

He challenged the Governor to show evidence of cordial relationship with the party either at the state or national level just as he insisted that rather than assist the APC or its members in the state, the Governor had clamped down on them.

While giving examples, Ochala said that the state Government recently sealed an FM Station belonging to Prince Goddy Agaba without any notice or reason in Calabar.
