Saudi Arabia To Strengthen Relationship With Nigeria-Saudi Imam Promised

The Imam of Medina, Sheik Abdulmuhsin Alkaseem accompanied by Zamfara State governor, Abdulaziz Yard, assured on Thursday that, Saudi Arabia will continue to do it’s best to not only strengthen the mutual relstionship between her and Nigeria but Muslims world over.

Alkaseem, who spoke when he paid a courtesy call on the Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, (NSCIA), Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar 111 further stressed the need for the unity of the Muslim ummah in Nigeria.

According to Alkaseem, his visit is in furtherance of the existing cordial relations between the two countries and the Muslim world.

” We will continue to do everything humanly possible for this bond of unity between us to wax stronger and stronger,” The Medina mam promised

On his part, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, applauded Saudi Arabian Government as well as the custodians of the two Holy Mosques (Medina and Mecca) for the success of 2016 Hajj exercise.

Sultan thus admitted that, the visit would consolidate the existing cordial relations between the Sultanate Council of Sokoto, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

Said Sultan, ”This visit will also further cement the unity of the Muslim ummah in the state and Nigeria in general,”
