Sokoto PDP Wants Founding Fathers To Facilitate Reconciliation

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sokoto State chapter, has expressed support for the ongoing reconciliation efforts by Senator Ahmed Makarfi and Senator Ali Modu Sheriff-led factions of the party.

The state publicity secretary of the party, Alhaji Yusuf Dingyadi, made the remark during an interview with newsman in Abuja.

He noted that the reconciliation was long overdue as the party has suffered much due to the impasse.

According to him, the imbroglio has affected the party and led to loss of supporters across the country.

“Our great party has suffered much from this crisis, and much resources and energy were wasted within the period and still we do not learn from our mistakes. We wasted many months in political bickering among ourselves just to satisfy our ego and not for the building of the party.

“Yet Nigerians are not taking us serious because of the negative attitude of certain leaders of the party, who are not genuinely interested in saving the party from destruction, but are only interested in achieving their hidden agenda.

“So, for any genuine and committed reconciliation, the founding fathers should be involved, “he said.

He emphasized that PDP Governor’s Forum and National Assembly Caucus must also be involved.
