A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Esan land of Edo State, Mr. Francis Onabis, has assured the people of the state that the governor-elect, Godwin Obaseki, would deliver on his campaign promises.
Onabis, in a statement sent to journalists on Monday, congratulated the governor-elect and the outgoing Governor Adams Oshiomhole, saying the people of the state have made a good decision for the betterment of the state.
He added that the victory was a further confirmation of Nigerians’ belief in the Change Agenda of the ruling party.
“The people have chosen continuity of progressive ideologies which our party has propagated in the last eight years. These ideologies Obaseki will sustain and further entrench. With the decision at the poll, Edo State will witness another four years of progress, infrastructural developments and transformation,” Onabis noted.
The APC chieftain further described Obaseki as an excellent technocrat, an administrator par excellence, a pragmatic leader, who will use all his sterling qualities for the development of Edo State.
While saluting the gallantry people of the state, Onabis urged them to pray and give maximum support to the incoming governor’s administration.
Onabis eulogized the outgoing Governor Oshiomhole for changing the face of politics in Edo State to that of development and transformation, adding that he has written his name in gold.
He also hailed the conduct of INEC and security agencies, who he said ensured a hitch-free exercise.
