The Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson has gone biblical by attributing the survival of the State under his administration against alleged political attacks and dwindling State resources to the divine grace of God through the prayers and support of the people of the State.
Governor Dickson, said though the political attacks allegedly being sponsored by the opposition to his administration was plotted with the belief on human powers, his administration’s survival was through repeated prayers by the people of the State.
Governor Seriake Dickson, who made this known during the 9th edition of the Monthly praise night at the Government chapel in Yenagoa, urged the people of the State to remain steadfast in their fellowship with the Almighty God, noting that the only key to victory over their enemies is through praise and thanksgiving.
According to him,” the Lord has been so faithful to the State and my family in this past September. The Lord showered lots of blessings beyond what i asked for or even imagine. The opposition and the enemies of the State had boasted because they depended on humans powers, but it all failed them. My Prayers for the people is for them to overcome their enemies”.
Dickson, who commended the people for their support, understanding and prayers and large turnout inspite of the short notice, said he will continue to celebrate with his people for more of God’ blessings.
He appreciated the people of the State for their unwavering support and love for the governor who is working round the clock to ensure they get the best from this government. He finally called on Bayelsans to resist any form of distractions from the enemies of the state, saying no weapon form against the State shall prosper.
In his brief, the clergy man, Rev. Tam Seth Eyedoude who delivered a sermon from Psalms 67, said the key to unlock God’s favour and blessings is through praise, thanksgiving and worship. He submitted that anybody that needs to make a difference in life must live a life of praise, adding that everything written about Bayelsa is great.
